Travel News, South Africa's most trusted source for travel industry news for over 50 years, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic
online daily news editor to guide our digital publication into the future. Our title has evolved with the industry from our roots as

We serve a community of passionate and diverse travel agents who rely on us for timely news, industry insights, and expertise. If you have the ability to write, are a fast learner, have a keen sense of curiosity, high intelligence, and enjoy building relationships, you might just be the person we're looking for.
Responsibilities:- Oversee and manage daily online editorial operations.
- Write lead stories for the daily publication.
- Develop and implement editorial strategy to expand our reader base.
- Engage with our readership to ensure that we're serving their needs.
- Collaborate with writers, reporters and other staff to maintain the high standard of our publication.
- Mentor and coach junior staff.
- Ensure all content adheres to highest ethical and journalistic standards.
Four days will be spent working in the office; the other day may be worked remotely.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field advantageous.
- Proven experience in journalism, with a preference given to candidates with editorial experience.
- Understanding and/or experience in the travel industry would be a considerable advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, curious, and passionate about engaging a community.
- Own car and a valid driving licence.
