Idna is a renowned event management firm that specialises in creating unforgettable experiences for our clients. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated senior event project manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing a wide range of events, from large-scale conferences and trade shows to corporate galas and experiential marketing activations.
Responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end project management for complex events, ensuring seamless execution from conceptualisation to post-event evaluation.
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets and resources, maintaining a keen eye for detail and exceptional organisational skills.
- Collaborate closely with clients, understanding their objectives and translating them into creative event strategies that exceed expectations.
- Coordinate and supervise cross-functional teams, including event planners, designers, vendors and contractors, to ensure smooth event operations.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and proactively identify and mitigate potential challenges or issues that may arise during the event planning and execution phases.
- Negotiate contracts and secure favorable pricing with suppliers, venues and other event-related service providers.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, budget adherence and overall event performance.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, technologies and best practices, bringing innovative ideas and fresh perspectives to the table.
Required:- Minimum of 10 years of experience in event management, with a focus on managing complex projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale events within budget and on schedule.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire teams to achieve outstanding results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate with clients, team members and external stakeholders.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, troubleshoot issues proactively and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Proficiency in event management software and project management tools.
