At the outset, please recognise that this opportunity is NOT a run-of-the-mill Media Sales opportunity.

Yes, this is an opportunity in the Media Sales space.

However, it requires specialist knowledge of Property Management, which is backed up by your holding a formal property management qualification.

PURPOSE OF THE FUNCTION:


This opportunity is in the lucrative space of OUT-OF-HOME advertising. With the focus of this role being in the erection of OUTDOOR SIGNAGE - within the strict parameters as laid out by Municipal Council Bylaws. 


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Strong sales ability to identify locations for the erection of out-of-home signage
• You MUST have an intimate knowledge of municipal bylaws and policies and procedures
• Strong negotiation skills, and the ability to negotiate long-term leases with corporate Landlords
• Solid Town Planning skills, and the ability to liaise with relevant town Councils
• A strong understanding of the demographics of the South African consumer market, and an excellent understanding of the appropriate Geographical areas
• You must have solid experience, knowledge and understanding of TENDER processes and compilation
• Knowledge of EIA and TIA systems
• Knowledge of rezoning and building line applications
• Strong ability in the correct usage of business English
• Experience and understanding the formulation and interpretation of contracts
• Hands-on working knowledge of MS Office, GIS, Title deeds, SG diagrams, Google Earth, Photo Shop and AutroCad 

TIME SCALE OF APPOINTMENT:


This position requires the successful candidate to commence services 1st September - earlier if possible to facilitate a hand-over with the present incumbent.

Requirements

• Grade 12 plus project and property management qualifications
• The ideal candidate will have property management experience, plus media advertising experience
• The ability to identify sites suitable for Billboard advertising
• Commercially astute to identify Billboard sites that will provide ROI 
• Personal characteristics will include: self confident, vibrant, strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact at top level, ability to develop  solid interpersonal relationships, excellent time management skills
• Own reliable transport and ability to travel
