Introduction
At Struik Christian Media our core purpose is to place Christian and inspirational content in the hands of the Southern Africans and further afield. Struik Christian Media is a Cape Town based publisher and distributor of Bibles, Christian and inspirational books, and Daily Planners.

Struik Christian Media is looking for a full-time Graphic Designer, based in Cape Town or Vereeniging with a minimum of three years’ experience.

Job description

• Create top-quality cover designs for books
• Design book layout and interiors
• Provide print-ready or web-ready files for projects
• Design of marketing material (social media & print) and company-related stationery as required
• Create e-books for online publishing
• Manage and maintain brand consistency
• General housekeeping with regards to studio archiving and daily processes

Qualifications and experience

• Graphic design diploma or degree
• At least three years’ experience in a similar position
• Adobe CC Design Standard suite, with professional-level knowledge of InDesign (critical), Photoshop and Illustrator (necessary), Premiere Pro (advantage)
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent understanding of the printing process, working with different inks and finishes
• Understanding the different requirements of designing for various printed media and digital media
• Be able to take a project from brief to print, including concept, roll-out and finished art
• Fully computer literate in Mac OS, able to work in Windows

• Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans
• Must have artistic flair and have an eye for design
