Job description

We are looking for a dynamic and multi-skilled Graphic Designer to join our fast-paced design studio!

You will work closely with the R&D department to create graphics for Ciovita’s core products and assist with marketing collateral and event merchandise.

Responsibilities and duties:

Research and design focused duties:

• Work closely with the product designers to develop graphics & prints for seasonal ranges. (refer to www.ciovita.co.za for reference of graphics required and applied to product cads)
• Create artwork for trims and branding designs. 
• Create packaging designs for products. 
• Assist with studio photoshoots to ensure photos are prepared for website launch.
• Retouch photos where relevant. 
• Collaborate with the R&D team for seasonal creative workshops.
• Research and present graphic print direction and concepts.
• Submit all graphics for strike-offs and assist the designers with feedback and approval of graphic elements. 

Event merchandise focused duties:

• Work closely with the Merch Coordinator to create graphics for the event merchandise for the relevant events. This includes graphic tees, sublimated on-bike offerings, and co-branded products for each event. 
• Assist with branding detail such as badges, trims & logo applications for caps, lifestyle products, accessories, etc. 
• Submit all graphics for strike-offs and assist the designers with feedback and approval of graphic elements. 
• Export designs for the web once approved. 

Marketing focused duties:

• Create ad-hoc marketing collateral. i.e. flyers, hangtags, pull-up banners, etc. 
• Collaborative work on brand books, visual presentations, etc. 
• Create artwork for digital/print adverts and mailers, when required.

Key performance indicators:

• Designing visually compelling graphics and assets that meet project objectives.
• Producing high-quality designs within specified timelines, meeting or exceeding project deadlines. 
• Adhering to brand guidelines and maintaining consistent visual identity across all design materials.
• Demonstrating a high level of creativity and innovation in design solutions, bringing fresh ideas and concepts to projects.

Requirements

• Degree in graphic design, or similar field
• Advanced in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign)
• Minimum of four years experience in an in-house graphic design role
• Deadline driven and able to work well under pressure
• Adaptable and quick learner
• Problem solving and time-management skills
• Ability to work well within a team environment
