Duties and responsibilities:

• Teach the following at undergraduate or postgraduate level: construction and detail design, together with a lecture-based module/s such as professional practice, computer aided design, computer rendering and/or history/theory of architecture.
• Coordinate professional practise related modules.
• Conduct research.
• Mentor students toward design dissertation.

Inherent requirements:

• M. Arch (professional) degree on NQF Level 9 (contract position until registered for a PhD on NQF Level 10 in Architecture).
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience as an architect.
• Professional design and construction portfolio.

Recommendations:

• Research interest in one or more of the following areas: architectural design, construction, professional practice, architectural history/theory.
• Registration with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (or similar).
