The entrepreneurial flair of a forward-thinking technology and digital transformation manager who must possess COBIT experience is sought by a reputable travel and tourism agency to join its team. Your core role will be to drive digital transformation across various IT disciplines, including IT governance, risk management, cybersecurity and Cloud services. As a strategic thinker and problem-solver, you will bridge technology and business, translating IT-related conversations into actionable insights for business leaders. Here, results matter, but failure is not feared. The successful incumbent will require a suitable degree/national diploma (NQF6-7), have 7-10 years’ hands-on work experience in a similar role, be proficient with Azure, Microsoft 365 and relevant security operations and compliance management tools. You must also have COBIT ( governance, risk, cybersecurity) framework experience and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

• Drive digital transformation initiatives across the organisation, leveraging modern technologies to enhance the overall business strategy.
• Manage IT governance, risk and cybersecurity, ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the implementation and management of Microsoft Azure cloud services and Microsoft 365 end-user software.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with external service providers and cross-departmental teams, ensuring effective collaboration and delivery of IT services.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating innovation and transformation across the organisation.

Requirements:

Qualifications 

• Relevant degree/national diploma (NQF6-7).

Experience/skills 

• At least 7-10 years of hands-on work-related equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and relevant security operations and compliance management tools.
• Experience with applied methodologies and frameworks, specifically COBIT (governance, risk, or cybersecurity) framework (non-negotiable).
• Experience collaborating with external service providers and cross-departmental teams, with exposure to SLAs outlining standard response times and deliverables.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Advantageous 

• Membership/affiliation to professional bodies (e.g. ISACA) to stay updated with trends and best practices.
