You will need to be the relationship owner and be responsible for their retention and growth. You will work closely with clients to build trust, identify needs and work cross-functionally internally to develop strategy and to foster and maintain a successful relationship.
The account manager carries a heavy responsibility in ensuring the company's client turn-key campaigns run smoothly by effectively managing the on-site activation, field staff, overall planning, coordination, and executions.
The candidate must display characteristics such as being proactive, energetic, charismatic and client relationship-oriented. They must be a strong communicator with prior experience in event production, activation and experiential marketing. It is imperative to instill trust and confidence in others through actions, lead by example and be the managing force of the team, building services and efficiencies to scale.
Account manager roles and responsibilities:Client liaison
- Act as the primary point of contact between the agency and clients.
- Build strong relationships with clients to understand their needs, goals and preferences.
- Address client inquiries, concerns and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction.
Account management
- Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to meet client objectives.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling agency services to clients.
- Collaborate with various agency departments to deliver integrated solutions.
Briefings/specific requests
- Gather and document client briefs, including specific project requirements and objectives.
- Clearly communicate client expectations to internal teams and ensure alignment.
- Review and refine briefs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
On-going relationship management
- Nurture and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
- Regularly engage with clients to discuss progress, updates and future opportunities.
- Anticipate client needs and proactively offer solutions.
On-going campaign management
- Oversee the execution of marketing campaigns from inception to completion.
- Coordinate internal and external teams to ensure seamless campaign delivery.
- Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies as needed.
Presentation and discussion of ideas strategies
- Develop creative and strategic ideas that align with client objectives.
- Present concepts, strategies and campaign proposals to clients.
- Facilitate discussions, address feedback and refine ideas based on client input.
KPI monitoring and maintenance
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for each campaign or project.
- Monitor and track campaign performance against KPIs.
- Provide regular performance reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
Campaign management
- Coordinate all aspects of campaign planning, execution and evaluation.
- Ensure campaign timelines, deliverables and budgets are met.
- Collaborate with creative, production and other teams to ensure campaign success.
Financial management
- Allocate project codes and manage project budgets.
- Coordinate internal payment processes and ensure timely invoicing.
- Manage client purchase orders, track expenses and reconcile accounts where necessary.
Project management
- Facilitate effective communication between clients and creative teams.
- Interpret client briefs and translate them into actionable tasks for the creative team.
- Manage project timelines, milestones and resources to meet deadlines.
Planning and strategy
- Source products and point-of-sale materials (POS) based on campaign requirements.
- Analyse costs and budgets for projects, providing recommendations for cost-effective solutions.
- Coordinate discussions with production and manufacturing partners.
- Source and brief external suppliers as needed and obtain quotes.
Execution management
- Plan and allocate resources, both internal and external, for campaign execution.
- Manage procurement processes for required materials and services.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery.
- Oversee end-to-end project implementation, including operations and logistics.
Post campaign analysis
- Collect and analyse campaign data to assess performance and effectiveness.
- Prepare comprehensive post-campaign reports with insights and recommendations.
- Evaluate KPIs and provide actionable insights for future campaigns.
