An independent engineering firm able to provide existing businesses access to an engineering department for the development of products and engineered solutions, is currently seeking a design engineer to join their Randburg-based team. The successful applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, three years’ work experience in relevant field of engineering and CAD, especially in Solidworks.

Duties:

• Development of concept of operations.
• Development of system requirement specifications.
• Development of user requirements.
• Development of 3D models and Manufacturing drawings.
• Development of cnc instruction.
• Quality inspection of parts made and assembled.
• Interaction with clients.
• Site visits and commissioning.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Three years’ work experience in relevant field of engineering.
• CAD especially in Solidworks.
• Work using a product management system (PDM) and vaults.
• Hands on experience with machines.
• Sage accounting experience.
• Proficient in office products such as Teams, Excel, and Word.
