Our insurance broker client is looking for an claims and broker administrator to join their company, based in Pretoria East.

Overview:

Insurance claims personnel must have a sound knowledge of underwriting principles in order to successfully administer the claims process. They must apply their knowledge of risk assessment in relation to the claim submitted in light of the extent of cover in terms of the underlying policy and the potential risk of fraud attaching to the claim submitted by the client. Each claim must be assessed individually and must be judged on its own unique merits taking into account the specific information provided by the client in relation to the claim and to the extent of cover granted under the policy.

Responsibilities and knowledge:

• To open all claims in a prompt efficient manner
• To administer claims accurately and timeously
• Loading of payments of claims
• To enter accurate data onto claims the system
• To maintain and administer the claims records
• Appointing of various suppliers
• Have a sound knowledge of underwriting principles
• Apply knowledge of risk assessment
• Assist with reception duties when needed

Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12
• RE5
• Minimum two years experience in insurance claims and administration
• Strong admin skills
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills

Salary: R15,000 - R22,000 CTC per month (depending on experience and qualifications)
