CEO Connect South Africa

Join us in-person on 18 August in Johannesburg, South Africa at the CEO Connect Forum, co-hosted by the SVAI, KPMG and the #ITSNOTOK movement. The forum provides an interactive platform for CEOs and business leaders to engage in open and candid discussions on innovative strategies aimed at addressing the root causes of GBV both within and beyond our organisations.

In 2022, KPMG South Africa, the University of Johannesburg, Shift Impact Africa, and the Shared Value Africa Initiative released the research report titled The Costly Impact of GBV: Private Sector Perceptions and Realities, a timely project at a time when businesses needed to show commitment to driving much-needed change.

On August 18th, this collective will once again join forces to convene a gathering of CEOs and business leaders and to take the conversation further to drive action that will advance gender equality and reduce gender based violence.

The morning's proceedings will include keynote addresses to share organisational challenges and successes as well as insights learned on the journey to gender equality. Included in the morning will be fireside chats as well as presentations on research findings, insights, and actionable initiatives to assist and create leadership understanding to make more informed decisions on addressing this second pandemic (GBV) that is holding economies back.
