Business Developement Manager

Our client is looking for a vibrant and experienced sales/business development manager to join their company. The individual will be responsible for the sales function and developing a sales strategy to help grow their business by selling their digital suite to existing and potential clients.

Requirements:

• At least 10 years’ experience in a business development or sales role 
• A legal, actuarial or financial qualification 
• Strong leadership skills 
• Experience with B2B complex sales environments preferably in enterprise software solutions 
• and digital applications 
• Experience working with clients in the financial services industry (insurance industry an advantage) 
• Understanding of financial services businesses 
• Understanding of digital technology 
• Strong grasp and understanding of commercial concepts 
• Must be willing to travel in Africa 
• Excellent interpersonal skills 
• Inherent drive and motivation to be successful

Responsibilities: 

• Manage, nurture and convert inbound leads into sales opportunities 
• Identify strong potential prospects using initiative and creativity to generate lead opportunities 
• Provide engaging and articulate information about value proposition to potential customers 
• Identify business challenges and problems within potential customers
• Manage complex enterprise sales throughout the sales cycle 
• Efficient management of the sales pipeline using existing defined processes as well as improvement on these processes 
• Confidently participate in the preparation of proposals and the presentation of professional product demonstrations, face-to-face meetings, etc. 
• Meet set sales targets
