    AI Engineer

    Remuneration:R1 - R2 per month cost-to-company 
    Location:Johannesburg
    Job level:Junior

    Requirements:
    • A minimum a bachelor's degree with any field with advanced quantitative focus, including but not limited to psychometrics, statistics, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, econometrics, engineering, computer science, software engineering or computer programming etc 
    • Or have a post-graduate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
    • Must have two + years’ experience in a similar role
    • Are proficient in Python and are pedantic about git hygiene and good documentation
    • Have experience using MLFlow
    • Have Cloud development experience, preferably AWS
    • Be interested in NLP and have some experience creating applications using Large Language Models
    • Understand experimentation and enjoy innovating

    Responsibilities:
    • Build POCs/MVPs fast, and know how to turn them into stable, reliable systems
    • Build and deploy modelling pipelines across a range of modelling problems and methods
    • Build and automate feature sets to improve model performance
    • Continuously learn about new developments in the NLP field and figure out how to apply them within the organisation
    • Build monitoring solutions for a variety of use cases
