Afrika Tikkun and Total Energies give children positive start to the school year
Total Energies SA has for the second year running, partnered with Afrika Tikkun to donate stationery and backpacks to school-going young people from Afrika Tikkun's five community centres. The donation, valued at R1m, benefitted 2,726 children and young people in our learners of our Early Childhood Development (ECD) and Child and Youth Development (CYD) programmes at our centres in Braampark, Orange Farm, Diepsloot, and Alexandra in Gauteng, and Mfuleni in the Western Cape. Afrika Tikkun hosts annual Disability and Inclusion Symposium
Afrika Tikkun hosted its 4th Annual Disability and Inclusion Symposium on 3 November 2022. Have you ever wanted to unleash your inner superhero? Well then, come and join Afrika Tikkun and the James and Ethel Gray Park Foundation as we host our 1st Annual Family Fun Walk on 12 November 2022. The Family Fun Walk promises to be a stress-free day filled with fun, health, and entertainment for you and your family. Budding entrepreneurs compete in Afrika Tikkun Services 2022 Business Summit
Afrika Tikkun Services (ATS) hosted its 4th Annual Alumni Entrepreneur Network Business Summit, on 10 September 2022, celebrating their ingenious entrepreneurs. South Africa is a developing nation fraught with staggering social, economic, and political challenges. Many challenges plaguing our nation have a direct, negative, and often debilitating effect/impact on our youth. According to research, a fifth of the global population is under the age of 25 and resides in sub-Saharan Africa. Afrika Tikkun and 1on1 Math host young wizards at the annual Math Olympiad Competition
Afrika Tikkun in partnership with 1on1 Math Khan Academy hosted brilliant young minds at our annual Math Olympiad Competition, on 5 June 2022 at the Houghton Hotel, in Johannesburg. The competition saw 60 of Afrika Tikkun's young boys and girls, from our five Centres of Excellence in Alexandra, Braamfontein, Diepsloot, Mfuleni, and Orange Farm, competing in this year's final. #UntoldStories: A story about Kgabo from Alex
A mere five kilometres away from Africa's richest square mile, lies one of Gauteng's most squalid townships: Alexandra. Unlike its wealthier counterpart, Sandton, Alexandra township is synonymous with abject poverty, a lack of proper water and sanitation as well as scant resources and opportunities. Like most, if not all, townships Alexandra is a microcosm that reflects the stark and harsh reality of a broader South Africa.
