Administrator - George, Western Cape

A well-established company in George is looking for a Administrator to join their team.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the reception area, co-ordinate office activities and ensure the smooth running of the office.
  • Maintain stock of office supplies, corporate clothing and marketing collateral, place orders with Finance Department and submit monthly reconciliations.
  • Process Petty Cash pay-outs, update reconciliation sheet and balance Petty Cash at least once a week and at month end for submission to Finance Department with Petty Cash spreadsheet by the 2nd of the month.
  • Assist Trust Account Support Professional with all documentation required to complete daily payment run and correspondence to producers, forward daily delivery notes (GRN’s), daily submission of producer bookings (ie. Transport, cold room charges, packaging etc.), to Trust department, as and when required.
  • Assist with emailing Buyer Card Reports and booking slips/card deposits daily to Finance Department.
  • Assist with daily reporting to Finance Department which includes reconciliation of daily cash, eft and Nedlink payments – raising credit notes on Freshmark ReFresh System for buyer payments – maintaining all buyer information on Freshmark ReFresh System.
  • Assist Trader/s with administrative duties as and when required, i.e. checking consignment volumes of stock vs delivery notes daily.
  • Answering switchboard.
  • Assist with HR related functions as and when required.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications/Competencies:
  • Grade 12 / Matric essential.
  • Secretarial or Office Administration qualification would be an added advantage.
  • 3 - 5 Years’ experience in an administrative role required.
  • Excellent knowledge of standard software packages required, i.e. MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (in English and Afrikaans) required.
  • Attention to Detail – Timely and accurate information/report is essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle confidential information.
  • Ability to complete multiple task/projects with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills required.
  • Deadline driven and team orientated individual, with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
  • Trustworthy and presentable.
  • Reliable and own transport essential.
